Fair do's.....I was born with bad geography, amazed I even found my way out in the first place.... But the point's the same. Shame, though, because I'd rather hoped that, being Swedish, he might be under rather a lot of pressure to do well and overplay and blow up. But now he's not (well, never was), I'll just have to hope that there are other reasons that he's not such a scary junior ringer....

FQR: (q12) Emil Ruusuvuori (FIN) WR 1478 defeated (q7) Sean Hodkin WR 1307 by 1 & 4
P.S. His surname's a dead giveaway as far as his nationality is concerned!

Yes, all my Finnish friends have names that sound like little birds - all chirps. In fact, when they're together they sound to me like a whole flock of little birds, chirruping away .... (but very manly chirruping, as one Finn said )
But I had looked at Gustaf Ström and thought HE was the FQR opponent - and him's a Swede !
However, net net (), it all came to the same thing - as feared, the nordic youngster was too much for Sean.
