2 & 1 in the singles too, but this time TO Alice, so many congrats to her on finally securing a WTA singles ranking
She gets 15-year-old unranked wild card Adithya Karunaratne from Sri Lanka (junior WR 237; CH 205 in Jan) in R2, who won 6-0 3-0 ret. v 3rd seed Ka (CAM) - given the retirement, that scoreline could mean just about anything, of course.

GB on a shirt, Davis Cup still gleaming, 79 years of hurt, never stopped us dreaming ... 29/11/2015 that dream came true!
She's never going to be making the front page of the tennis news, and her other counters come off very soon unfortunately, but she stood out at the NTC as being that bit better than the rest of her British-Tour sort of cohort. And she's only just turned 19 - well done !
Will take us back to 32 ranked women on 16/10 and into November at least, replacing Lauryn John-Baptiste who will exit the rankings for now this coming Monday.
