I can't work out why that name surprises/shocks you, SC - looks like a perfectly decent Romanian name to me (?)

I wasn't questioning the authenticity of the names, nor suggesting they were outlandish.  It was just that there are three of them!

Doubles champions this week :

Adrian Barbu & Florin Mergea (ROU/ROU) CR 699 (649+50) - CHs 265 & 7

Yes, that Florin Mergea who since Wimbledon ( L16 with Qureshi ) has mainly been competing in Romanian futures with 34 yo Barbu. This is the first one they've won.

Curious.
