Nicole and Anna are into this event as an Alt pair. Very sadly for them they have been drawn against the top seeds in the first round.

Not bad for ALT's

Our singles players might mostly be treading water, or worse, but the doubles, with double interest given Joss & Anna are now in searate teams, have ticked along rather nicely over this year as a whole.

Just a really fantastic win for Anna and Nicole. That will make them feel a whole LOT better after their succession of first round losses... they've obviously just not been playing good enough players smilebiggrin

A useful 100 points each too so far from that win. And that already lifts Nicole two places in the live rankings to 51, which will be a CH for her, whilst Anna is also lifted two to 55, which is just two off her career high of 53, whatever else they manage this week. But this should make them feel a great deal more cheerful about life as a doubles pairing again, and would be lovely if they could capitalise on it for the next round or so...
