Strongest Top 10 for a while?

Looking at the rankings today made me think how strong the current top ten is:

Murray, Nadal, Fed, Wawrinka, Djokovic - multiple GS winners

Cilic - US Open winner, although probably less likely to win another than any of the other top10 with the exception of Nishikori

Zverev - has future world no.1 written all over him and will surely win a few GS titles

Thiem - should win a few GS titles, especially the French Open

Nishikori - in my view the weakest of the current top 10, can't see him winning a GS

Raonic - should win a few GS, especially Wimbledon

Then looking at the rest of the top50 it would be hard to make a case for anyone else other than Del Potro gatecrashing the current top10 in the near future.

I can. I think the issue is more slipping out due to presbytennisa, a word derived from the ancient Greek reflecting the tendency to medicalise the consequences of the natural process of playing tennis 24/7 from the age of 4 to 30.

Maybe not the greatest timed thread of all time. Or at least more a question of on paper rather than collectively on the tennis courts any time soon.

Eleven names, seven out injured this week, some for the rest of the year. Much could change by the end of the season, there are a few others that could finish inside the top ten, although top 5 is looking less likely.

Perhaps Fantasy Land based on some of the men's top 10 performances, of those who are actually competing

If you mean it's a "British Tennis" site this is the "General Tennis" section. We have always at times discussed the wider tennis world, particularly in this section.
