Jamie double-faulted at 6-6 in the tiebreak (after leading the TB 5-3 ) and the French pair capitalised to win the first set 7-6(6)

Some of Jamie's volleys have been crazy good. He really is one of the best in the world at net, arguably the best.

Final: (5) Pierre-Hugues Herbert & Nicolas Mahut (FRA/FRA) CR 16 (11+5) defeated (3) Jamie Murray & Bruno Soares (BRA) CR 13 (6+7) 7-6(6) 6-4

A couple of return winners boosted the French pair to break Bruno over deuce in the final game

Pity. On to the US Open. They're better at Slams.

And at least they contributed to the Grandstand crowd getting more for their money than Center have so far today.

 Why am I not surprised to hear it was Bruno? 

 

Do others think they will part ways at the end of the year?

A break isn't necessarily all down to the server. Or even sometimes mostly. Though, yes, as pointed out earlier Jamie is usually extremely good at the net if given any chance.
