Freya and partner get a nice, easy victory in the doubles.
Little shout for Bolton's resident friendly American, Eva Siska, who won her R1 match easily and will be Freya's opponent, if Freya wins her R1 match. Eva is well-known on the GB circuit and a really nice woman, and decent player.
I suppose that's the potential sting in the tail of dropping down to a Sharm $15K to search for form.
If it goes well and brings some confidence, all the better.
But, if, as here, as top seed by a wide margin, you get beaten in R16 by a qualifier, you know you've dropped down as far as you can, and this has still happened. Where do you go next?
Hopefully there's some light on the horizon for Freya soon.

Hmm not so good to see Freya struggling so much. Hope she can find some more inspiration soon, this has not been a good year for her to date, and it's not really clear why she has gone off the boil so much
Think she moved to London because her long time coach Mark Taylor moved to JTC, so assuming he is still there nothing has really changed coaching wise for her.

She has struggled since the long first round match in Wimbledon qualifying it seemed to suck the life out of her
