Luke has just lost the 1st set on a TB 8-6. He was 5-1 up in the breaker at one point. Didn't have a lot of luck though. When serving at *6-5 he hit a great 2nd serve and went for the serve/volley. Farren shanked his return completely and it turned into a clean lob winner. At *6-6, Luke again had the upper hand at the net. He had what looked as though it was going to be an easy volley put away, but Farren had a net cord, leaving Luke to completely mistime the volley into the net.

Good to see Luke get a couple of wins in singles, hopefully he gets a good draw and can add a few more points and £s to the kitty.
Also top seeds in the doubles alongside David O'Hare. Both might feel slightly hard done by over the grass court season and it would be great to see them add to their success last week.

Sarkissian beat Luke in Feb of this year, 6-4 6-3.

And defeated Mark Whitehouse a week or two back, 6-1 7-5.

But lost to Liam in three sets in April.
