A bit of a turn-up for the books as top seeds & the defending champions are back together:

The winners play Jamie & the Swiss Miss.

Should be fun, I really enjoy the mixed doubles at Wimbledon, top pros of both sexes playing together sets a standard few other sports can match. Go Hev and Henri!

Fun it can be indeed and I will no doubt watch any Brits that get very far, and Hev and Henri had a great time last year. But while there remains etiquette re going too hard at the ladies it is not an all out serious competition between top pros. No holding back and that would be different.

But if they want to include it in tennis Slams for something different fair enough. It's as an Olympic competition I really have issues on a number of grounds, but that's another matter.

Poor Joe Salisbury must be ready never to see Neal Skupski again. But it was a hugely entertaining match, so well done to all. Ms Dunne, of whom I've not seen very much recently, looks as if she could do some very fine work in doubles.
