Probably the worst possible draw any seed could have got - Chong reached the week 26 final here, losing to Guo in it earlier today.

As has been mentioned before now that Suzy has a full 16 counters ( and a few more ) and is averaging about 2 points a counter it can be difficult to push further up the rankings beyond the 600s that come with that level of points.

Well done to her on the progress she has made up the rankings and I suspect giving the best of what she has now. But further progress probably depends on the extent of her personal pro career ambition ( I know coaching has been mentioned with respect to her ) and what she can add to her current game.

I have mentioned before that this is where the LTA should step in with specialsed coaching. So many girls fail at this level - clearly something needs to be done - not holding my breath cry
