Torrid time for Laura at present - before her injury she'd got to the 630s - hopefully better times around the corner - with Lisa retiring the top 25 is looking very threadbare
Yes, Lisa was about to drop out the GB top 25 anyway as her points for winning a Wimbledon qualifying round last year ( pretty remarkable in itself off comparatively little tennis ) drop off. So it looks like Laura will actually be back into the top 25 post Wimbledon on 9 points and our 25th ranked player will probably be outside the top 1000 which is the more general issue, not picking on Laura, concerning as her own form is.
At least Roehampton this week is giving yet more good signs for a bit down the line from some very promising youngsters.

Given that many promising younsters are Stateside or looking to go - the entry point point for the top 25 may only be 5 or 6. Still no sign of Anna B?
