From the Beeb's rolling sports news page 20 minutes or so ago:

Queen's entrants dropping like flies...

Posted at

British number three Dan Evans and 2009 US Open champion Juan Martin del Potro will both miss the Aegon Championships at Queen's because of injury.

Evans, 27, retired against Germany's Dustin Brown in the recent Surbiton Trophy with a calf injury, missing this week's Nottingham Open as a result.

Argentina's Del Potro, 28, is still struggling with the groin problem that hampered him at the French Open.

It is not known if they will be fit for Wimbledon, which starts on 3 July.

French Open winner Rafa Nadal pulled out of the tournament last week after being advised to rest by his doctor.

From the addict on the week's entry thread a couple of hours ago:

"From Stu Fraser on Twitter
Main draw wild cards for James Ward, Cameron Norrie & Thanasi Kokkinakis. Qualies wild cards for Liam Broady, Ed Corrie & Denis Shapovalov£

If Ed qualified that'd be great. He's a well liked guy in British tennis circles and he'll get grass WC's till Kingdom come, but has been just a bit short of ever capitalizing much on them. Up till now? C'mon Ed.

I  like Wardy but he is light years away from competing at this level at moment Klein should have received the WC instead he is just outside top 200

Looks like Liam has got Tiafoe - top seed :(

And Ed has got Chardy, 4th seed - not much better.

A not especially illuminating "exclusive" interview with Andy in today's Evening StandardThis piece from the Beeb is rather more substantial.  Enjoy him while you can, folks!  hmm

Brydan may have accepted a WC at Ilkley instead.  A better chance of getting some points and matches.   And he has family from the North.

Was considering going to Queens today, but work commitments preclude it. Somewhat gutted - looks to me as if it is easily the highest quality day of free tennis that one is going to find this year: two good British players and Tiafoe, Chardy, Benneteau, PHH, Shapovalov and Donaldson, among others. Best of luck to Mr Broady and Mr Corrie - and hope to hear from others who have made the trip!

Can't quite beleive what I'm seeing here:  Liam's just taken the first set off Tiafoe by 6-1!  biggrin

91% win on his first service!  If he can keep it up ( ), it'll be a very fine win indeed.

Alack & alas, Tiafoe draws level the match, taking the second set by 7-6(2).
