Now if we could just get 4 wins out of that lot, we would be guaranteed 2 GB qualifiers as the FQR would be Marcus v Liam and Jonny v Lloyd. A lot of tennis to be played before then though.

In the space of just a few moments, Jonny, Lloyd and Liam all lose, albeit to much higher ranked opponents.

Marcus forced a BP but De Minaur holds. Into his 2nd 3 setter of the day. De Minaur won his first match in straight sets so may have a stamina advantage.

And then there were none. Get the feeling Marcus ran out of steam. From a set and 3-3 in the 2nd, he only won one more game. 6 tough sets in a day is not easy for anyone.

Let's hope the MD guys can do better.
