Laura Robson said she was on her way home for the grass season, so I wouldn't be surprised if Katy and Katie are travelling back with her

Em and Ankita are unseeded and play a Chinese pair who have won both the Chinese 25ks in the previous fortnight.

Well, 3 points each so far. Suzy' final Q opponent took out the 2nd Q seed easily, so suggests she is coming back from injury and that CH of 495 might be nearer her ability than her current ranking. I think Suzy will do well to overcome her. Em has a more achievable task.

Emily's opponent was JWR #13 a year ago - so probably trickier than her Pro ranking might suggest.

Plenty of upsets in qualifying here already - Emily and Suzy are the only seeds to have even made it to the final qualifying round!

Em not having much luck, moved to her dreaded indoors again (social media post with a pic of the courts just said "noooooo") and we'll beaten by the youngster 63 62. Fell apart after missing a couple of break points early in the second.

Shame. Suzy up in a bit.

Suzy wins easily.

Em doesn't get the lucky loser slot
