Great to see Tara win 6-2 6-3. smile smile That and the 12 pts will do her confidence a world of good. Always had too much for Imanishi and played a good all round game. No DFs that I saw and generally made few errors.

Yeah was going to say, I have read 12 points a few times (as Michael D also says) as many thought it would have been the more preferable choice playing qualies here than Manc main draw.

Those points are likely to move Tara back into the top 400 just when they go on, and consolidate her current hold on GB#10 position. Of course, a lot more still to come from this new week with the Brit players behind her - Maia, Sam and Eden - all in action too.

Eden still on serve second set, real pity she couldn't take one of her chances in that tie break...

Ella making a real fight of her match with Myers. she lost the first set 4-6 but is 4-1 up in the second. Playing a clever game against Myers who has has gone right of the boil

Shme for Eden, who I think lost 6-4 in the second set, but a strong showing for her and Jodie. Ella Taylor also more than holding her own here against Brit troubler Abbie Myers. She lost the first set 4-6, but is *5-1 up in the second and the momentum is definitely with her. Would be amazing if she can come through this.
