French Open Qualifying Cut-Off (men's)

I was wondering if any Brits would get into RG qualifying draw. Not sure when cut off is, but Aljaz Bedene currently looks like he should make the MD which is great.

For QD, the cut offs in the past have been:

first column is initial list, second column is final list

2015 224 234 (4+1 PRs)
2014 226 247 (6 PRs)
2013 223 243 (9 PRs)
2012 225 244 (2 PRs)
2011 225 244 (3 PRs)
2010 235 255 (2 PRs)

So it looks like final cut off normally falls in the mid 240's with 234 the highest - not sure what 2016 was?

Todays live ranking shows Brydan Klein at 231 and Cam Norrie at 237. Not sure if either aspire to play on clay at RG but it looks like both could just about make the QD draw. Looking at 2015, the Wimbledon entry cut off for the qualies was around that same mid 230's level (236) so again it looks like both could get into the QD without a wild card - that is if they dont get a MD wild card?

Looks very unlikely any other player could make the QD in Paris or Wimbledon without some help from the powers that be, which certainly wont happen in Paris

Edit:  Sorry, but as with "The Apostrophiser" in Bristol last week, the absence of an apostrophe in "men's" was driving me up the wall & my forbearance finally ran out just now & I had to edit the subject line!

French Open Qualifying Cut Off (mens)

Thanks for that, and yes certainly looking good for Brydan with it looks rather like strategy in his Indonesian futures foray, with no points to defend in this pre cut-off period. His 18 points last week will have him up from WR 247 to as you say looking close to WR 230. He is so far into the QF this week and has a further week to come.

Initial 226 out to 242 in 2016

Brydan loses in the Indonesia 15K final. Still his 28 points from the last 2 weeks will have him up from 205 to 233 points with that important ranking up from its current WR 247 to looking like WR low 220s on Monday week. Probably job done with still another Indonesia 15K to come.

Do not really see Calvin Klien playing FO quallies. How many times do we see players, whose biggest weapon is their serve, fail on the clay? Better of playing challengers in that period.

I don't really think Klien can get past 150 in the world, he just ends up playing 52 events a year and gets best non countable scores of 12, 12, 12, 8,8 ,8.. He is like the Dominic Theim of the futures/low challenger tour.
