Can somebody with knowledge of the computer world explain to me how these kitchen adverts get in?

Does a robot sign up for a fake profile and then spam us? Do they do this to other forums?

I'm so intrigued

I read an article on these, it is many, many forums. The reason they get in is its actualy real people that sign up and do this and thus beat the standard spam filter tests. An (alleged) crook/gangster type bloke called Vince Miller is behind it apparently. His profile on Wiki is below
