Thanks Strongbow, interesting to see the Russians move top - it didnt feel like they were making big waves generally, maybe it is depth through the top 10 that is having an impact for them.

Is this the first time the USA have lost top spot in the womens listings?

 Yes, there waa a bit of discussion at the time about the Czechs going to #1 post Wimblefon. They were #1 for 5 separate weeks during July and Augudt, last on 28/08, with the USA returning to #1 on 11/09

 I remember now - interesting how the Czech's have fallen away quite a lot in terms of average ranking since those heights!
