RE: Strongest Nation?

It's going to be a long time before things get back to normal. Until then we're going to have weird results crycry

With Strasbourg completed and RG starting tomorrow, the 28/09 WTA rankings are out early.

GB drop 13 to 2109. Only Fran added points and rose by just one place, albeit to another CH of 255.

For the ATP, with no additional counting points for our top 10, we are down 14 to 1938.

No idea how the numbers will work out but I got the feeling that Italy and Argentina were two of the best countries in the men, in terms of what they chalked up at RG.

Be interesting to see. I see that they are the 2 best in terms of total ranking places improved for their women.

In the ATP, all of a sudden, the top is looking very interesting.

Spain have almost caught France now and could take over before the season end, very tight! 0.7 positions average gap.

But USA and Italy are also close to both of them and each other. Italy are clearly the movers and it will be interesting to see if they can claim 3rd place before too long and put pressure on the top as well - probably too far a gap before end of 2020 season but not inconceivable to see the gap close early 2021.
