Played well for a scratch pair, had a heap of chances in the first set including a couple of set points.

But good she got on court for doubles first, shake off some rust and find a bit of match timing.

Vania King with an early break, could have been two but for JoKo coming up with an ace on bp. Currently *1-4

A df brings up another bp and King's brutal hitting makes it 1-5*

Vania dominant 1-6

From the few points I've seen, probably more King on fire, rather than Konta awful.

JoKo starts the 2nd set by falling over mid-rally. Bounces around having got up so clearly not hurt. Holds to 30 1-0*

An erratic game from both players, mix of brilliance and complete rubbish, ends with Vania holding to 30 *1-1

The Konta forehand missing rather too often right now, another error sets up bp, King crushing a 2nd serve for the break 1-2*

Joko up 15-30 in control of the rally, gets a forehand horribly wrong. Her next few shots aren't much better, King holds to 30 *1-3

Easy hold for Joko despite a df 2-3*

Konta with a super bh dtl winer then a b pass winner to set up bp, which I think was a lucky netcord backhand winner (not sure) *3-3

JoKo holds to 40 while I wasn't watching 4-3*

Lovely lob winner from Joko for 15-40. Forehand ue then a df gifts her the break *5-3

All Konta now 6-3

Vania holds to 40 I missed most of that game *0-1

Jo with a comfortable holds thanks to her opponents errors 1-1

King's superb form in the early part of the match seems a long time ago. JoKo breaks without doing that much *2-1
