Another battling win from a set down for Katy

L32: Katy Dunne WR 325 beat (6) Jana Fett (CRO) WR 198 (CH 142 in 2016) by 3-6 6-2 6-1

L16: Katy Dunne WR 325 v Destanee Aiava (AUS) WR 397 (CH 395 last week)

Aiava is just 16 and already seems to have put juniors behind her, given that she is currently ranked 445 in juniors but was ranked as high as 49 in Jan 2015, when she was just 14!

Katy and Tammy also won in the doubles - 11-9 in the final set tie break.

I watched some of Aiava's matches at the AO WC Play off last December and she gives the ball an almighty whallop - either for a screaming winner or hitting the back fence.

Great to see Katy picking up more points. It's seems she is playing well at present.

Just this week and next week left in Aus to make the most of this form.. India again in December?

And if the stars alone she could meet the Yorkshire lass Nakita Bains 18 (CH 17)in the next round!

Actually although close in the draw they are in separate halves so any meeting would be in the final. That'll do fine
