Well done, Josh, and that win defends his one remaining point from 2015.

Nothing further to defend before May, the only way is up.

All the best to Josh playing and Josh bro supporting.

R1: (Q) Joshua Paris WR 1044 beat Martin Beran (CAN) WR 759 (CH 706 last week) 3-6 6-4 7-6(6)

R2: (Q) Joshua Paris WR 1044 vs (7) Viktor Durasovic (NOR) WR 605 (CH 452 in November 2015)

I see that the #1 seed, Gianluigi Quinzi, is a potential QF opponent. The former junior #1 seems to have had a fairly tough time transitioning into the senior ranks.

Just for the record, Josh had Beran as his partner in the doubles, but they didn't fare too well, but it was a tough draw:

R1:  (4) Lorenzo Frigerio & Federico Maccari (ITA/ITA) CR 1485 (632+853) defeated Martin Beran (CAN) & Josh Paris 1833 (717+1116) by 6-2 7-6(3)
