Curious, that. The site normally records DC matches, but on this occasion doesn't. Kyle of course beat Lajovic by 6-3 6-4 7-6(5) in the quarter-finals in July to give team GB an unassailable lead over Serbia in a tie in which Andy did not play. I should have remembered, the clue being Bob's wink .

After his 5 matches in Beijing concluding with his QF loss to Andy on Friday Kyle moves cities and is due on Saturday not before 4 pm local ( following 2 matches beginning from noon ) - that's not before 9 am BST.

I would guess that after the highs of last week and playing Andy in the QFs, this was quite a tough match motivationally. Good to see Kyle come through comfortably and he is already in the "plus" column for points as the 16 already earned here will replace a 12 on his rankings breakdown. I doubt 4 extra points make much difference when you are a Top 50 player though smile
