Kawasaki is the woman that Mirabelle beat 2&4 in R1 last week.

She's 33 years old yet her CH is only from this year. And seemingly has been playing constant tournaments from 2004 onwards ! You've got to give it to her for perseverance She even made a semi quite recently.

Suzy lost 4 & 3

That makes Brits W 2 L 11 in singles so far today - and even one of the wins (Ed v Liam) involved a British top seed getting knocked out - the other was Jay's win in Egypt.

I had been thinking that we had rather a lot of players still involved in singles on Thursday. We are going to have considerably fewer on Friday

Suzy+ won their doubles SF against the 4th seeds yesterday:

Semifinal

Suzy LARKIN (GBR) / Theiviya SELVARAJOO (MAS) 6-4 6-4 Jenny CLAFFEY (IRL) / Alexandra RILEY (USA) [4]

And they're currently 3-0 up in the final.

Vamos, Suzy !

Suzy and partner were always up in the first set - until the very moment it mattered....

They lost the final 5-7 4-6

Shame, but a runners-up trophy ain't too bad either....
