Really impressive result. They have been getting some better results recently until last week's disappointment, and to win so easily indicates a very good performance.
It is great news. The first win was so surprising that I wondered if it was down to their opponents, maybe an injury or something, but to back it up with another dominant win shows that they are finding some good form.
So glad to see them remembering where they left their collective mojo.
SF opponents have knocked out the second seeds in R1, and then Hantuchova/Riske in QF.
QF: Jocelyn RAE/Anna SMITH (GBR/GBR) 209 defeated Johanna LARSSON/Julia GLUSHKO (SWE/ISR) 183 7-5 6-1
SF: Jocelyn RAE/Anna SMITH (GBR/GBR) 209 v. Eri HOZUMI/Miyu KATO (JPN/JPN) 100 (45 & 55)
Three hour long and counting almighty thunderstorm here, and hour long delay in Tokyo; result, awake to follow an excellent first set from Jossanna! 6-1
