James Ward is 4 out for US Open qualies don't think he ll make it. Pity that Alex Ward didn't manage another win or two prior to cut off he's about 11 or so places out. Dan Cox is 111 places out, I'm amazed there is an acceptance list with alternates way down the rankings quite amusing.
When was the last year we had no men in US Qualies? Must be a long time ago.

It would have been really good to get at least a couple of guys into qualifying when we now have six players in the 200s. It's unfortunate how that's shaken out. All the best to James.
But apart from the fact that so many are close or relatively close make no mistake about the very good news story regarding the other four that aren't in qualifying. They are of course directly into the main draw! Now there's something unusual.
The possibly none in qualifying is really just a bit of a statistical quirk in how our rankings stand at the moment, with four top 90 and then six 240 to 300 so missing out the Slam qualifying range, rather than any particularly big concern.
Pity about these just short of qualifying, and while there are clearly some who would wish, indeed have expected, to be quite a bit higher ranked looked at overall we have a relatively very healthy top 10 compared to many a year.
