The other big event that should be listed here is the Sutton Premier British Tour event.

It runs from Sun 14th to Sat 20th.

Prize money is huge (£2,000 for the winners, I believe, and good cheques going right the way down), and also has doubles, so a very large number of British participants will be taking part.

CD, I was just going to post about that, but can't access the website as it keeps throwing up errors. From memory, there is quite a big entry already.
I believe Katy Dunne has entered, although she is entered for Gatineau in Canada the week before, and there are a few other familiar names in the women's list, as well as the men's.

Site back up now. So far there are 96 men and 47 women entered. There will be doubles (MD, WD and MD) as well as singles

Hey, forumites - BREAKING NEWS !!!!!!!!!!

Just looked at the entry list for the Sutton Premier British Tour event - and there was the name of Eleanor Dean

Now isn't that a sight for sore eyes????

SO SO hope it's true and that Eleanor is 'de retour', fit as a fiddle - welcome back, Deano !

Well the entry list has now closed, and she is still on it.

For completeness, to show where the other top players will be this week, the main ones of note at Sutton are:

Sutton

Joe Salisbury
Dan Smethurst
James Marsalek
Adam T-B
Mark Whitehouse
Keelan
Jonny Gray
Joel Cannell
Jay Clarke

Katy Dunne
Beth Grey
Lucy Brown
Laura Sainsbury
Laura Deigman
Nell Miller
Eleanor Dean
Ema Lazic

Quite a lot of other youngsters, and interesting US college players, also taking part

(NB some of these are also on the ITF lists above so I guess we'll see where they end up)

The ITF withdrawal date has passed, but the LTA date for Sutton is Tuesday 9th. Haven't checked the mens, but only Laura D seems to appear elsewhere

As of today Aljaz is up to around 8th on the alt list for Cincinatti and with a number of players still in Rio has to have a decent shot at making the MD. Of course that happened in Canada and then he withdrew himself but hopefully if he makes the cut this time he will be there.

From Instagram
deigmantennis
Off to Belgium this weekend... Learnt my lesson not to eat sushi in Spain... Now ready to get back and compete again

So Laura probably won't appear at Sutton, unless she fails to get through qualis at Westende. Still on both entry lists
