I didn't realise Rogoswska had fallen so much. Tough one for Harriet there. Hope she is fully fit.

Peter, is there a site that give rankings with draws, I wanted to put them in, but was too idle to look them up.

I just use the Players - Head 2 Head section on the WTA site. That lets you look up previous H2H results, present ranking and CH ranking.

Hopefully Laura can get some wins and gain confidence here.

Nice to see the gang of about 6/7 of them out in the USA/Canada over the next month or so.

They're up and running....

Laura has a player who's never had a singles pro ranking before. At age 23.....

Harriet's opponent, Olivia Rog., is obviously mis-ranked, ex-top 100 (approx), made the semis of the 25k, beating Katie B two weeks ago, and has played some decent tennis in the past few months. Not easy.....

Katy's opponent played last week, winning one round in the 50k, but had a two year lay-off before that .....

Eva T (Freya's) had a torrid time out in South Korea recently. And has played a fair number of competitions this past year. With very very little to show for it.

Em obviously has the hardest draw - Elie made the final of a 25k very recently, and is a seasoned competitor. Tara beat her twice recently though.

Query:

The drawsheet still has Em W-S playing Elie.

But the ITF livescore page has Em down to play Emily Ottsen (USA).

No LL against Ottsen's name, but you never know....

My LS has "Alt" next to her name.

Laura breaks in game 8 after missing 3 bps in Alexandra's opening service game which included 2 dfs, so is now serving for the set against her unranked opponent *5-3

She finally takes the opening set 6-3 after missing out on set point then having to save a bp.

Laura won 15/16 behind her first serve.

---

Laura breaks at the start of the 2nd set *1-0

Broken after failing to land any first serves, 2 dfs 1-1*

Laura breaks again *2-1

Broken to love, this time after 3 first serves then a df to finish 2-2

Laura breaks to love *3-2

A routine hold for Laura 4-2*

Alexandra saves 4 bps but Laura eventually gets the break *5-2

Laura holds to love 6-2

---

Stats look underwhelming. 51% first serve, winning 79/52. 4 aces and 5 dfs. Alexandra's 9 dfs assisting the margin of victory.

Oh, good.

Which, of course, would make MORE sense than LL which makes NO sense at all, CD....

no

Mine doesn't.

But if that's so, then that's a nice break for Emily W-S smile

Laura won 6-3 6-2 Harriet down 5-7 0-3 with MTO which suggests it may be Harriet? Two matches before Freya's have finished both retirements
