I watched some of the match after JoKo's match ended and the match was what you would expect from a top class doubles team vs a scratch pairing. Laura hit a few nice shots, and was pretty terrible at the net.

Sorry, couldn't bear to watch. 2Chan are very good though, so it's not a shock result.

(As for Laura, I think that overall, she needs to play some 25ks, and aim to be playing 3, 4 or 5 matches per week. She would never manage that with her current level of play at WTA level.)

Laura is down for the $50k in Sacramento starting on the 18th and she will probably have to play through qualifying. Tara, Katy Dunne and Freya also on the entry list.

Back to back wins at that lower level would be a step forward for me, 3 wins in a row and that would be..... !!!

Even back to back wins at 10k level would be good, matches and confidence building are urgently needed

Laura needs to build up match practice, confidence and her ranking. Now the grass season is over she will be playing on the ITF circuit and needs to work out how to win matches consistently at that level - and that might take a while for her to do.

Heather and Naomi first up on a busy day for the British women. They lead 2-1*.

Were broken ... and broke their opponents as they served for the match. Back on serve at 5-5.

Edit: Great minds, and all that ... good to know we're all watching!
