From a quick analysis neither Calvin Hemery nor Tommy Paul appear to have played a pro tournament on grass, whilst Alessandro Giannesi has played just once (here). Thiemo De Bakker is a former Wimbledon Junior champion, whilst Yuichi Sugita qualified at Evo's expense last year

Tomorrow's oop:

Dan S 2nd on 13
Joe 2nd on 14
Lloyd 1st on 15 (Liam/Darren 5th in doubles q)
Dan C followed by Ed followed by Marcus on 16 (Ed/Joe 5th in doubles q)

Well done, David, for doing the thread.

As said, I think Dan S and Joe have the easiest draws.

Sugita lost to Alex Ward recently. And to Dan Evans. And to James Ward. Maybe Marcus can keep the tradition going?

Dan Cox has a hard draw. Not easy for Lloyd either. Ed stands a chance. Tommy plays well but still young and 'playable'

Add: didn't see your write-up, David, but - yes - we largely agree. Saw Tommy Paul play on grass last year, (in juniors), he's not too shabby but Ed must have a decent chance. Dan S and Joe still have the best slots though.

In random non-GB draw news, there's a repeat of a French Open R1 match happening in Wimbledon Qualifying, with Samper-Montana vs Bourgue happening for the 2nd time in a few weeks.

I predict one qualifier from the bunch and a few 1st round wins too. Be great if they could notch up some wins!

Start time already pushed back 1 hour. I am guessing it will get pushed back again before long.

Seemingly, there are 12 ex-college players taking part in the Wimbly men's qualifiers.

Of which, three are British.

Given we only have 6 players in the qualis, the fact that 50% came through the US system means we should be thankful to the Americans for taking care and bringing on our young players so well. (Or wonder why the LTA and the British system doesn't.....after all, there are 10 US players taking part, including three teenagers, and hardly any of them are US college players....)

Must be a good chance of no play at all today, looking at the forecast.

It's forecast to be a lot better by mid-afternoon.

And they have covers on the courts (all, I think, but definitely all the main ones) so the courts will be pretty dry.

And given it stays light so long at the moment, I'm pretty sure they'll get to play smile

Signed: the eternally optimistic one.....

Start pushed back to 1 p.m.

The doubles matches that were previously marked 'canceled' have now re-appeared without the 'canceled' - but that's got to be an error.

There will probably be play at some point but I think the covers are all simple flat covers and given how long they will have been on and the relative warmth there will have been a lot of "sweating" underneath them. You could be looking at up to an hour between the rain stopping and play beginning.

Official 'not before' time is now 3 p.m.

All the later singles matches have been cancelled.

Only Marcus Willis is affected amongst the Brits (his match canceled for today).
