The British girls all got a lousy draw in the doubles:

Beth & Eden lost to the top seeds

Dommie & Mia Eklund lost to the second seeds

 

NB Congrats to the Irish, who got three girls through the qualifiers - Anna Bowtell (Amy's young sister), age 16, defeated the top Q seed: Jennifer Timotin, age 16, based at Sutton, and Sinead Lohan

Another point then - I've yet to see Eden play, so still trying to judge where she is relative to the other GB girls.

Before she was injured she was at her CH (624) - no titles but a collection of 1s, 2s and 4s etc. Higher ranked at doubles (2 10k titles). She had just got to the stage where she needed more than 2pts to make progress. Couple of videos of her playing from 2013 on youtube.
