I am guessing that Katy D is a direct entry and Sam Murray and Emily Appleton MD WCs in addition to Gabi and Harriet.

Dominique Covington, Lauren McMinn and Holly Hutchinson are one counter, i.e. winning QR1, away from being ranked

 Are you sure Gabi got in directly? She was a few out.

Yes, Gabi is one above EWS (Qseed1) on the acceptance list, so could be into the MD on ranking, or on a wildcard.

Georgina axon breaks first game without having to do too much. The Anerican not hitting with much power and playing a very weak drop shot on first point. Georgina holds comfortably 2-0

Georgina holds, then breaks again. Sophia looked rattled at 30-30 when she was surprised to hear a let called on second serve. A couple of weak drop shots that don't clear the net. Georgina just keeping ball in play then picking off the short ball. Georgina *4-1

Both hold. Georgina *5-2. Now she is comfortably ahead Georgie is playing some looser shots some of which becoming misfits. Got away with it so far.

Break point against Georgina but Sophia puts a forehand wide. She seals set with first ace - 6-2. Im moving around courts now.

Georgina Axon wins 6-2 6-4

One ranking point for her so far, replacing her WC point from here last year, still leaving her for now at 5 points from 2 counters.

Has Em been promoted to the main draw? If she has then it's a bit of a shame really because she could have done with the qualifying wins for momentum and points. Draw was ideal.

Hopefully she's not injured. That would really suck given her year.
