Week 23 - Mozambique F1 ($10,000) - Maputo (hard)

Surprisingly, qualies here almost awash with Brits (OK, slight exaggeration wink ), with some familiar names & some not so familiar.

QR1:  Chanchai Sookton-Eng ( ) (AUS) UNR vs Patrick Foley UNR

QR1:  (q3) Samuel Ferguson (the lad's 17) WR 1748 (CH = 1735 last September) vs Warren Kuhn (RSA) UNR

QR1:  (q5) Yaseen Ibrahim (RSA) WR 2118 (CH = 2052 last September) vs Felipe Sharratt UNR

Kinda funny match playing against my doubles partner! As you guys on here mostly know, I'm just focusing  on doubles, so when I play singles it's more just for either fun or practice. So was interesting to play against my doubles partner where we both know each other's games inside out! He came out considerably on top 6-0 6-2 (as expected as I haven't even played even one singles practice game since my last singles match a few weeks ago) but was nevertheless good practice! Put in a lot of work last few weeks on returns and that was starting to show today

i don't know the other British guys out here, so good luck to them anyway!

Yeah, Michael-ray was a break up in his singles and pulled a hammy, had to retire and wasn't ready in time for doubs. We have been working at it and hopefully should be good for this next week.. I'll play sings again for practice
