Just noticed that Wozniak, recovering her ranking very slowly after injury, is also in Mandy's section. Also, the main draw is up, showing numerous withdrawals.
First two Q rounds are on Monday, which will suit Mandy as she only has one match, but for whoever she plays, it will be there second match of the day.
Main draw likely then starts on Tues, plus the 4 FQR matches.
Mandy leads 5-2: outclassed from the baseline, and weak on serve, Ponchet has tried serve volleying, return volleying, even a drropshot return thrown in. Entertaining, but Mandy should win this.
will be interesting (well, for me, at any rate ) to see who wins out of Manon A. and Margot Y.
I think I'd just, but just, go with Margot, although Manon is better ranked. But either way, it's likely to be a long match......
Add later: well, called that one wrong, but it WAS a long match at least - which had got to be good for Mandy And she won't be scared of Manon, given last time ....

Well A wraps it up in a little under 2 hours as Y contrived to lose the last 4 games in a row, to prevent the match going to 3 sets. So:
FQR: Q2: (3) Amanda CARRERAS (GBR) 289 vs (8) Manon ARCANGIOLI (FRA) 377 (CH 268 02/03/2015)
They played at the beginning of this month in the French 50k where Mandy reached the SF, Mandy won 6-3 6-3.
Nice win today; fingers crossed Mandy makes the MD. It's great to see her giving this one a go. Pity we won't be seeing her on grass this season but it makes good sense for her to stick with the clay as she's been going so well lately :)
