Farris gets a duff draw, against the guy who's beaten him twice this month:

R1: Farris Gosea (GBR) WR 1217* v (3) Adam El Mihdawy (USA) WR 564 (CH 281 April 15)

* but about 900 next week when the points go on

Playing with Kopinski, as 4th seeds, in the doubles.

Adam El Mihdawy is a 26 year old stalwart of the Americas ITF circuit, indeed a Mexican futures specialist with 5 of his 9 futures wins in the land of the Sombrero.

Interestingly a New Yorker of Austrian/Eygyptian decent with some high quality College tennis offers including Ohio State and Virginia who has chosen to go pro at 18. ITF junior championship high 100. He has broken the top 300 but not quite able to dominate a run of futures tournament in a way that allows challenger success. The type of guy that benchmarks the ITF ceiling that needs to be breached to mount a serious assault on the Challenger circuit.
