Weeks 21-22 - Roland Garros 2016 - Paris, France - Clay

I believe Heather is playing tomorrow.

Good luck to the girls. Great to have 4 in the MD. Long may that continue and with others rising fast i'm sure we may have more there soon.

In the top half, I think Jo has an 80% chance of progressing to R2; Laura 20% = 1 through.

Heather 60%; Naomi 40% = 1 through.

A showdown between JoKo and Keys in R3 might determine which of them is in seeds pot 9-16 at Wimbledon.

Please can you post a link to an OOP? I can't see tomorrow's on the RG website. Is there a convention where each quarter plays on a separate day?

OOP released today, should be about now or in an hour or so.
Heather definitely plays Sunday - RG tweeted yesterday that details were TBC.

Bottom half of draw Sunday (Hev, Naomi), Top half Monday (Laura, JoKo)

Doubles entries...

www.tennisforum.com/1198-doubles-forum/1096153-roland-garros-doubles-final-list.html

Jo teams up again with Maria Sanche, with whom she first started to pick up form in 2015, before her singles success. Heather with Nicole Gibbs. Jossanna are the last DA.

Naomi has teamed up with the in-form US qualifier Chriico; they are ALT3.

Interesting to see that Josanna have squeezed into the doubles. Have they actually played on clay this season so far - was there one tournament they played and were knocked out first round, or was that hard? Since they haven't exactly been prolific recently, I hope they have been practicing for the grass season, and that Jos has got over her Fed Cup shoulder injury. They've gone nowhere as a team for the past 18 months, but at least have maintained their ranking prior to this grass season. So I would think it is a half decent grass season or bust for them. They need their combined ranking up to at least around the 100 mark to get more regular WTA tournament entries - but then they also need to be able to win at least 1 or 2 rounds when they do play!

Jeez, what's with the French? The capacity of Chatrier is 15,000, and there can't be more than 1,000 watching Kvitova v Kovinic.

They're all watching Benoit, I'd imagine.

i wish I could, ITV4 have 1 match and are showing Chatrier; Eurosport have 2 matches and are annoyingly also showing Chatrier as one and Kyrgios/Cecchinato as the other.
