Seriously, we won't know until the entries are released. This should be middle of next week(?)

A couple of conundrums...

1. Heather is on the cusp of Olympics qualification. Playing in Bol, and disrupting her grass season prep may be her last chance. Playing Eastbourne would not help, as ITF points are added a week later.

2. Sam Murray will get a ranking just in time for this week's entries. Does she use this or does she use her SR? Does she have an SR? Would she need a WC to make the draw at Eastbourne anyway? So why waste an SR?

Sam should use WC's for the GB grass season - main draw and qualifying. Save SR's for overseas competition

Only 25ks and 10ks are added a week later, Eastbourne will be fine. Though I agree it might be a good idea to enter Bol as there will be more points and I would hazard a guess it might be a weaker field.

Edmund hasn't entered Manchester but Evans has. Ward is 10th alt (and so will probably make it in), Klein is 20th alt and Broady is 26th alt.

No sign of Aljaz again, presumably he is expecting to make the second week of RG. We can dream!

Entries for Eastbourne 50K should be visible later on this afternoon. It will be interesting to see which Brits have entered and what the cut off is. Given that there are multiple other attractions (France/Italy) it might not be too bad.

Eastbourne cut is 148 at present with multiple double entries and players still in RG to remove.

GB ranked entries:
Tara, Katy, Mandy, Freya, Katie S, Gabi, EWS, Harriet, Lisa, Mirabelle, Emily Arb, Katie B, Manisha, Fran, Laura D, Maia, Lucy, Emily App, Beth, Savannah, Aimee, Sabrina with Sam to be ranked shortly. Jodie also on the list

(Jodie, Emily App and Katie S might be playing RG juniors)

I don't think any of them will make main draw, so which four will get the wildcards? Bear in mind several are playing a long way away the week before (Katy - Japan, Freya & Harriet - Korea, Gabi - Uzbekistan) There are a few others playing in Europe or Turkey, but should be able to get across in time. Mandy and Maia are the only ones likely to go deep and I wouldn't be surprised if Mandy stayed on clay.

Eastbourne is slowly opening up. Only Gabi Taylor has withdrawn of the notable Brits so far - presumably as she will not get a MDWC and she is travelling from Uzbekistan.

Cut off at 161 with more to drop out by tomorrow evening and several likely to be involved in RG week 2, either in juniors or doubles.
Tara and Katy already in qualifying spots with Mandy and Freya soon to be.

I'm pretty sure Katy, Harriet and Freya will get the MDWC due to travel and Tara will probably get the last one. The remainder may need QWC or lots not to turn up.

So for Eastbourne, it is 22 main draw plus 2 x SE to clear, 4 qualifiers and 4 wildcards.

For qualifying it is a 32 qualifying draw for 4 spots - only 24 places are allocated, so upto 8 QWC's can be allocated

Some will have to manage their WC's as they will have used some already(Maia, Katie B, Freya etc)

It is highly unlikely that any GB players will make the main draw - so almost certain that Katy, Freya, Harriet and Tara will get wildcards

EWS and Lisa Whybourn will make qualifying automatically and Emily Arb and Katie B probably get in as well. Qualifying wildcards will probably go to Sam Murray, Emma Hurst(local) and the other ranked girls that do not make the cut.

Looking at last year - the qualifying draw wasn't full and was full of GB players, so very few that entered bothered to sign in for qualifying

ITF updated - looks like most of the GB contingent will be playing on the grass in the UK signing in for qualifying
