Ugh, that was pretty nasty.

R1: Rae/Smith(GBR) 1 140 lose to MUNTEAN(FRA)/VIKHLYANTSEVA(RUS) 920 6-2 2-6 6-10 cry

Not sure why Josanna haven't played a bit more recently, or where they go to from here. I guess they play the grass court season and then decide, but they aren't making any progress at the moment. Their opponents here have neither great singles nor doubles rankings, but when they needed to, especially in the TB, pulled out much better serving.

That's the problem with Doubles far too random Id ban these silly tie break sets makes doubles even more of a lottery.

I continue to have much more of an issue with no Ad in how it's a fundamental change to the flow and pressures of a match.

I at least much more understand how MTBs help scheduling ( I am not sure any save on no Ad is worth its cost ) and I think many, maybe most, doubles players accept MTBs have plusses.

First to 10 with a 2 points lead of course is much more open to just a good run of points, but I don't see it as being as random as many make out ( and many make that aspect out to be more random than Jaggy did ). It's still a pretty reasonable test, if more focussed on bottle for that one extended game, and often an entertaining conclusion.

I agree, far worse is the no ad scoring. The first to 10 at least means the team with the most points win that set - no ad means that teams can win 55% of points in a set regularly and still lose it (almost impossible in ad scoring).
