Both Brits in the bottom half of the draw which helps them avoid the two "ringers" entered as WCs in the top half (q1) (WC) is Tucker Vorster WR 297 so if he gets through, he will also be top seed in the MD with a ranking more than 100 places better than anything else.
Worse still, on the acceptance list for the MD, Evan is down at Nš8. Hoping Vorster coming through qualies won't end up denying Evan a seeding.

I think Evan should be just about all right for a seeding. In the current rankings ( on which seedings are based ) he is behind both Vorster and Toledo Bague, the two qualifying "ringers", but moves ahead of Vandenbulcke ( number 5 on the acceptance list but that's on a PR ) and Badanov, number 7, leaving him at number 8 of all the guys there.
Sometimes, depending on when the MD is done, the potential high ranked qualifiers wouldn't be seeded anyway - of course if that happened Evan could be seeded and draw Vorster in R1 !
