Laura has switched from Istanbul to Stuttgart qualies...still using SR.
I thought that was a bit odd, so I checked it out and saw the following:
** Due to the unrest in the region, players accepted into the Main Draw of Istanbul may withdraw by Friday, April 1st, 5pm Florida/EDT without penalty.
Additionally, they were allowed to enter Stuttgart Qualifying by the March 28th Entry Deadline or an ITF Womens Circuit event being held the same week.
Surprising to see Liam heading over to China after playing in Sarasota in week 15. Would have though he would have stayed in the States and gone on to Savannah as Wardy is doing, particularly as the fields are about equal strength for Savannah and Nanjing. Is the +H enough of a factor to justify changing continents?
Sam's last appearance was at Lexington 22/07/2014 at which stage(according to Steven's tables) she was ranked 239, so should be able to use SR's when appropriate. I suspect she will want to find her level before using them and may well use them for some of the grass court season.
The field in Bucharest suggests a potential opportunity for Kyle, there isn't a player there against whom he wouldn't be competitive on clay.
Although the intensity of competition is such that there will be no easy matches his win in South America and performance against Goffin over the first two sets fills me with optimism.
I feel he may be the UKs first Ginger Ninja on the red stuff (sorry couldn't get anything to rhyme with Strawberry Blonde) starting now.
