After a lengthy game in which James had at least one set point he double faults to be broken. 5-4*

OK. Let's do this properly.

QR1: (q2) James Ward WR 156 beat Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan (IND) WR 211 6-4 6-3

FQR: (q2) James Ward WR 156 v (q6) Somdev Devvarman (IND) WR 177 (CH 62 July 2011)

Qualifying Spots in Main Draw against

Andrey Rublev (WC)
Nicolas Almagro
Qualifier v Qualifier

Some tasty chances there for anyone who can get through.

Well done to James. I think it's a good change to give points for first round qualifying wins for 250s and only having the two rounds

Also there is a qualifying entry list, which there wasn't before.

Actually it's because there's only two rounds that there are points for winning the first round qualifying matches - it's 12 points for qualifying and 6 points for making the FQR (for all 48-64 man ATP 250 events), same as it always was.

I've not been following so I don't know if there only being two rounds is tournament-specific, due to a lack of participants or is it a blanket change for all ATP events this season?
