Apologies for the delay - quiet time of the year for tennis.
Nice to see Eden Silva back on the lists. Very strange that Maia's domestic ranking is below Donia's, but will end up as a seed in qualifying as she will have a ranking by then
Dan S a late withdrawal from US
Emily App seems to be out in Egypt again. Her mum was with her this week and she seemed to be doing some work at the club when I saw her on Tuesday, so i'm not sure if she has finished school or is home tutored.
Entry list for the following weeks event in Israel is now out and Liam is not down to play which makes me wonder if he will actually withdraw this week. I am not really sure there is a great deal of benefit to coming back from the US and then heading over to Israel for one 10k event before the Christmas break. Of course it may be part of some strategy we are not party to but on the face of it playing this week does not seem to offer much benefit.

Liam has indeed now withdrawn from this week ( week 48 ) in Israel, so doesn't appear to be down for any events now.
As well as Liam, Milts has withdrawn from Qatar.
Withdrawals in the ladies:
Emily Appleton from Cairo, Laura Deigman and Eden Silva from Tunisia and Maia Lumsden from Turkey
It's a funny old thing, the world of tennis tournaments, isn't it. Egypt is in a shambles; Turkey is looking more and more problematic; the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is flaring again; global warming has gone over 1 degree centigrade and we all know we need to cut down on flights, etc ... and yet the cycle continues. The flights aspect of it is clearly not a good thing; as for the rest, perhaps tennis is a welcome diversion.
