Week 45 - Great Britain F11 ($15,000) - Bath (Hard - indoor)

A good chance for our Brits to progress with a similar field to last week.

Corrie, Gabb, Bambridge, Ward-Hibbert, Martin, Hoyt and Pauffley made the main draw directly with SE for O'Mara and Glasspool(I think)

Wildcards seem to have gone to :

Clayton, Bettles, Paris, and Walters

Matt Short looks like a late entry into qualifying

Qualifying draw out, plenty of juniors in it.

The point of an SE is to allow a player to bypass qualifying if it starts while he's still competing in the main draw of an event held in the previous week. As the main draw in Tipton has now finished, neither Jonny nor Lloyd would be eligible for an SE.

Jonny O'Mara tweeted this.

Decent week here in Tipton. Came up against a guy serving a 102% 1st serve. Too good. Bath MD next week, thanks for the WC @BritishTennis

Good stuff, and a 102% 1st serve, eh

I imagine that Lloyd Glasspool has made the main draw without need of a WC ( he is last shown as next in line after the initial 18 MD acceptances so certainly direct in if just one SE spot clears ).

Charlie Broom can't quite match yesterday's effort and loses out to Peter Bothwell (who is another product of the Soto Academy in Spain). No disgrace in that as the Irishman has been playing well recently and I know for a fact that Charlie was "a bit exhausted" after his two wins yesterday.

Main draw is out and there are two lucky losers, where Ed Corrie and Toby Martin would have been playing.

Draw wide open, but last week's finalists have tricky sections. Second and fourth brackets look wide open.
