Maia just needing to get one win now and the accompanying point to get a ranking.

If Maia is serious about ITF next year then she needs to be thinking about catching Izzy and Anna B, rather than just a ranking. If not, leave it until she's ready to play a full setof events. She clearly has a significant amount of talent but as she's not 18 till Jan there are a whole load of options.

At the moment, the world is her lobster. smile

Oh yes, I was just making a factual comment about being ranked.

Re progressing in ITF senior, I suspect she can challenge such as Izzy and Anna B next year and I would like to see her pretty committed to ITF seniors if not going the college route. 18 in January to me essentially says leave juniors behind.

Akiko Okuda has just graduated from Dartmouth.  Last year she mainly played at 4 on the team and had a W/L of 20/13 in singles and 17/12 in dubs.

It looks like Anna probably didn't turn up.

Her opponent has won by a walkover.

Aimee lost the first set 5-7

Aimee's match was very close but she just missed out 75 64

Same as her losses last week and the week before really, did have chances. Could have had a really nice trip with a couple of QFs but not to be, should get her ranking back at least this coming Monday.

TheCzech girl is being by far the more aggressive, Maia happy - as is her game - to hit a lot of rounded ball.

But it's certainly working at the moment - Maia leads 6-0 1-1

Maia having to play a bit more aggressively now, as the Czech girl finds her spots a little more.

And doing so well enough - leading 4-2 in the second
