Cool - so there is a general inflationary trend but whether Covid related etc as per Paulisi? Without creating work, how does that track back to say 2019 and pre Covid?
Good week from Giles once again pushes him within reach of the Top 500. A final or better this next week should see him crack that barrier.
On the down side, both Jay and Paul Jubb are dropping just outside according to the live rankings. And as for Stuart Parker - ouch. He will drop almost 250 places as his challenger title drops out
This is like spinning plates. Get one going and another one drops off.

So Harry W cracks the barrier - in the live rankings, at least - although with his 89 WR points, and a live ranking at 476, this will obviously be confirmed next Monday.
Also in another live rankings anomaly, Paul Jubb sneaks back in at exactly 500 without even playing although he obviously could fall out during the course of the week.
(After an extensive absence), the Men's WR for w/c 11 Sep 2023
So Jan continues to lead the most net points YTD chart, but hot on his heels (and a closing in on a Top100 WR) is Liam. Andy finds himself in 3rd, but (somewhat under the radar??) is George sitting in 4th. His net +144 points converts into a 600+ gain in rankings since the start of the year and a position inside the GB Top10. In the net points lost chart, Cam is the current leader, but its further down the chart (Paul, Jay, Alastair, Stuart) where the impact of the loss of points is felt more. Of them, only Alastair still finds himself inside the Top500 and even then, only just.
Jamie is the runaway leader in the net points YTD chart, but below him it is a all a bit nip and tuck, with all 9 players registering more than 100 net points (in fact the top 12 players in this chart are in treble figures). In the net points loss chart, the leader similarly has a clear 'lead'. Of the others in this chart, Cam, Ken and Dom no longer have a doubles WR.
So Katie continues to streak ahead in the net points YTD chart, while Emma our previous GB#1 continues to do likewise in the net points lost YTD chart. Week on week, the gap between Katie/Jodie and the rest grows bigger again, while Katie Swan and Freya suffer big drops in their rankings. Lily's recent renaissance takes a breather for at least one week and Beth has now pretty much recovered all her WR losses since the start of the year.
So although Maia currently claims top spot in the net points YTD chart, it's her partner who finds herself as GB#1. Another successful partnership between Holly and Madeleine means they find themselves placing 4th and 7th. In the net lost points YTD, its two no-longer ranked players that top the chart, with Olivia/Alicia, our ex-top GB pair placing in 3rd and 4th place respectively. Week on week, a pretty big chasm (almost 200 places) has now opened up in the middle of the chart, between Madeleine (WR 332) and Emma (WR527).
