No sign of Kyle this season, but there are plenty more in contention - Emile Hudd, Stuart Parker, Hamish Stewart, Felix Gill, Liam Broady, Millen Hurrion etc

I havent followed too closely, but is that the first time weve achieved 21 since weve been counting?

But the problem now is that there's a big gap in the pyramid

Currently we only have two players in the 100-200 range - and one of those is Andy who (bless) doesn't really count now in terms of rankings going forward

So only Billy in the 'feeder' group for the top-100

Of course, the 200-250 group is pretty jammed packed - seven players - so a few of those getting back in form/marking up some good wins would make a big difference

This is a CD post from 15/07/24 confirming 21 in the top 500 then. We had 21 in the rankings from 17/06 to 15/07 inclusive. So there has been at least that period as well.

17th March

There are 22 guys in the top-500

Breaks down to:

1 x teenager
2 x Next Gen (21 and under), which includes the teenager, obviously, no double-counting
3 x age 30 and above

Just 7 in the top 250, Jo Monday, Jay Clarke, Oliver Crawford and Ryan Peniston all progressing.

38 in the top 1000 and we should definitely bump that past 40 in the next couple of months.

Good to see these guys getting runs of wins in ITF events to help them build / rebuild their rankings. Hopefully one or two at least can push on into the top 250 and move on to challenger events.

Looking at the runners and riders, I'm not sure though about that 40 in the top 1000 expectation.

I'm still seeing 22 in the top 500, but the good news is that:
Kyle is back playing in addition Harry W is knocking on the door and Hamish Stewart, Felix Gill and Liam Broady are all capable of returning into the top 500.

Still seeing 38 in top 1000, but surely a matter of time before Blu Baker and Oscar Weightman break in.

 But the bad news is:

we're back down to 21

Kyle has slipped out. And has 2 more points coming off this week

Enjoy the 7 days while you have it

On Monday week, 19th, Aidan has 8 points coming off

So that will see him drop out, almost certainly, given he's lost already in Nottingham

And Arthur Féry has 12 points coming off on the same date - so I presume he'll be out too

And Stuart Parker is going to lose 15 points

DOOM & GLOOM DAY

19th May

Aidan: -8
Arthur: -12
Stuart: -15

It is important yes to remember that some players are always likely to be losing points and dropping as well as rising, you're calling this one wrong though as far as short term top 500 propects go.

Although current official WR 500 is on 81 points, that is going to drop a bit for 19/05 with live 500 being on 77 points.

Aidan ( live ranked 485 on 89 - 8 = 81 points ) is almost certainly still going to be top 500 - unless we both have rather a lot of continued success from relevant futures players this week plus probably have players below him winning challenger matches next week.

Arthur (  97 - 12 = 85 points ) and Stuart ( 106 - 15 = 91 points ) will still be far clear.

As per the women's Nottingham W35 tournament thread that day will almost certainly see us up to 32 women in the top 1000 ( up 4 on 05/05 ), pushing on further from when paulisi posted.
