So what with it being halfway through the year, I thought i would do a bit of graph re-jigging, starting with this week's graph for w/c 27 jun.
So in singles Ryan finishes the month out front for net points gained (bottom right graph), with a total of +149 points. He's followed by Andy (+130 points), Jack (+50), Dan (+28) and Paul (+25). The yellow bars behind the names is relative to the size of the net points. This means Ryan moves up in the net points YTD chart (top right graph) to 4th. Andy is still the leader of this metric having accrued a net +474 since the start of the year. Cam (who undoubtedly has won more points in 2022 than anyone else), sits in 3rd, a reflection of the fact he has been defending more points.
In terms of WRs, Jack moves back into the Top100. Ryan moves closer to Liam, and since he has no Wimbledon points to defend is on track to overtake him. Kyle suffers another big drop and as others point out will sadly soon fall out of the Top 500. A fate which has befallen JPJ and Stuart this week. Anton stems his recent losses and Giles pops up to another CH.
So for June Lloyd finishes in 1st place for net point gains (+567 Points). Neal has to settle for 2nd place (+385) followed by Henry (+325), Julian (+323) and Jonny (+192). In terms of net point gains for the year, Neal is waaay out in front with over double the points of the next person. There is also a clear gap between the Top4 and everyone else. In terms of WRs, Julian and Henry take a breather this week from their relentless climb up the rankings. Dom continues to drift downwards, as does Dan while Luke Bambridge continues to hemorrhage places. Further down Blu builds on his earlier WR gains, a reflection of him placing 10th for net points for the year so far.
So in June, Jodie came out top for net point gains, collecting +171. In every previous month, Harriet's total for finishing 2nd (+141) would have been enough to take top spot. For the year so far, these players place 3rd and 4th, but out front is Emma and Sonay. In terms of moves in the WRs this, there are lots of nice gains all the way down the chart, from Harriet moving back into the Top100, Katie climbing into the Top 200 for the first time since 2019, and Anna consolidating her big move earlier in the month (which means shes risen 256 places in June overall).
In doubles, it's Harriet who had the best month for points, with +182 points, just edging out her partner Heather who ends the month with +177 points. For the year so far, its a 4 way fight for top place in net points. For the moment Sam is in front for this metric, but not by much. In WR's the biggest move this week is a downward one by Emily Arbuthnott
So what with no Wimbledon points being added this year, there is very little upward movement amongst the british players this week, with Harriet being the exception, as evidently the players around her suffer more.
However as this week's bottom right graph shows, when it comes to the year so far, there has been some seriously impressive jumps in rankings. Sonay tops the graph, up almost 650 places since Jan. She also now tops the graph for net point gains for the year so far. Emma, the previous leader, drops because her inability to replace her points from last year's Wimbledon. Other players having a good year so far are Anna and Eden who also register quite high on both graphs.
Despite (or perhaps because of) the absence of wimbledon points, the top 4 ranked players all register gains this week, with Alicia returning back to the Top100. They also continue to hold the top places for net points gained for the year so far. While not as prominent as in the singles, Sonay also manages to place in both the net points YTD and WR gains YTD for doubles too. However the current leader for biggest move up the WR is Nadia, who isn't quite in the Top800 yet, but is now not that far off.
With Cam, Dan , Andy (now live top 50), Jack (top 90) and then Ryan (120s), Liam (130s) , Jay (170s), Paul (just outside top 200), we could have 4 main draw and 4 in qualies for US Open. Also, Ali Gray could reach 230-240 with a good grass ITF series so may be an outsider for qualies ?
Womens looks like 2 direct and maybe 6 in qualies (Sonay at 216 live rank) - Beth is in 280s live, again could she have enough runway to make it?
6 main draw total and 10-12 qualies total would be pretty amazing.
So just sneaking this in before the new rankings come out tomorrow.
Men's singles for w/c 11 Jul. So as a result of the Wimbleon situation, Jack Draper moves to the top of the chart for most net points accrued for the year so far. In terms of WRs it's Brandon at the top, with Johannus in 2nd place who is now on the cusp of Top800 ranking. Elsewhere Kyle suffered another big drop in his rankings, as does Anton and to a lesser extent Liam, who sadly doesn't get any benefit from his performance at Wimbledon. Meanwhile Stuart sneaks back into the Top500.
So for net points, Neal continues to be miles ahead of everyone else. In terms of WR moves, Oscar similarly has a big lead over the others, although that is not to say that the others at top of chart have also made made big advances too, with all of the 10 biggest movers having jumped over 500 places. In terms of this week, there are however notable big WR drops for some of the higher ranked players....Alastair, Andy, Aidan & Luke.
So no significant moves in WRs this week. Andy retakes the lead for net points YTD, while Felix makes it into one of the Top 10 places at the expense of Jay. In terms of those not having the best of years point-wise, it is Dan out in front, who is over 800 points worse off than he was at the start of the year. Unsuprisingly, because of his injury, Kyle also features high up in this graph.
This week Luke and Ben are the big movers in WRs. In the case of Luke, he now makes an appearence amongst the best performers for net points - in at number 8. In terms of this who strugging to accrue points, it's Joe at the top, who despite being WR1, is down 2000 points since the start of the year. The rest of the bottom 10 reads a bit like a who's who of our top players over the last few years.

So this week, the biggest moves in WRs are downward ones by Fran and Naiktha, but many of the other players do experience some minor uplifts. In terms of net points gained, Sonay remains well in front of all her compatriots. For those who are suffering the biggest net loss of points, that 'honour' goes to Heather. Amongst the others players currently placing in this graph a couple of retirees and those who have been out through injury.

So the big news this week is a new GB#1, with Sam finally passing Tara to become the highest ranked GB player. Further down Emily Appleton experiences a 30 place jump up the rankings and now places in 5th place for net points gained for the year. For those struggling for points, its again Heather to tops this graph.
