Men's WR for w/c 13 jun.

In singles, Andy takes over at the top of the table in net points accumulated in Jun.  He is now above 1000 for his overall points and back into the World's Top50. Dan makes a welcome appearance in 2nd place, although he is still a long way off from where he was at the start of the year, while Ryan doubles his net point gains for June, which are now up to 30 points. Edward remains out front for WR gains, although 2nd place is now held by Joe who also experiences a big upload for a +1 point gain.  Dan Cox closes in on the Bob threshold, while Stuart and JPJ are toying with slipping out.  And although not amongst the biggest movers, Jack Draper gets some great news, becoming the newest person to break into the Top100.

In doubles, last week's leader in points (Joe) disappears from the Top 5, but the amongst the others, they continue to pile on the points.  In terms of WR gains, the big movers this week are Arthur and Felix who make it into the Top5, meaning despite their impressive run of results, Julian and Henry still can't make it into the Top5 places for the month so far, although they have made into the Top200.

Women's WR for w/c 13 Jun.

In terms of points the big movers since last week are Jodie and Harriet, with both of them pushing back towards their CHs. And while Matilda's net gain of 18 points only places her 5th, for her it does mean a new CH. Anna remains miles in front in terms of WR gains for June so far.  Players suffering this week are Sam and Tara, with Tara falling back out of the Top400.

In doubles, its a different story for Sam at least. She extends her lead in net points and inches ever closer to Tara and the GB#1 spot.  For the moment, Alicia's stay in the Top100 was a short one lasting just 1 week. Naomi's death spiral continues, but for this week at least she is outdone (if that's the right term) by Anna Popescu who slumps over a 100 places and off the chart (although not quite the list).

Presumably Naomi has retired without bothering to officially announce it?

Still 17 GB players in the men's top-500

Dan Cox has entered, at 462.

Anton Matusevich has dropped 67 places to 532

Anton is also going to lose a big counter from Wimbly qualifying as he won two rounds last year (Arthur Féry has the same problem)

Jack PJ also won one round last year (as did Felix) so that'll be him out of the top-500 too

Men's WR for w/c 20 Jun 22

In singles, Andy maintains his position at the top of net points, but Ryan's efforts at Queens means he jumps into 2nd. Those two are well ahead of the others. As per norm, the biggest WR moves are amongst the lowest ranked. However elsewhere, Ryan moves into the Top150 and as CD mentioned, although Dan Cox makes a big move into the Top500 (after a 6 year gap), he pretty much swaps place with Anton, meaning the number in the Top500 stay stubbornly at 17.  Finally, the now retired James Ward drops off the bottom of the graph, and with only 2 counting tournaments remaining, he will shortly fall off the rankings all together.

In doubles, the top 5 net point earners rearrange themselves this week with Lloyd moving up to 1st place. In terms of rankings, all the moves make it a messy week on the graph. Henry and Julian's linear march up the rankings stands out almost as much as Andy's drop this week. However Andy isn't one who is suffering. Ryan, Felix, Liam, Arthur and Anton all experience a significant drop this week.

Women's WR for w/c 20 Jun 22

In singles, Jodie's stellar efforts last week means she sitting on a 100+ point gain for June so far with 1 week still to go. The players 2 through to 5 also have some really healthly points totals.  Anna's 57 points means she bursts into the Top 500, while Jodie and Sonay also make noticable climbs this week.  Further down Maia manages to claw back some of the ranking positions she has shed recently.

In doubles, it couldn't be closer for GB#1, with the gap now down to 17points and 1WR place. Like singles, there are great points being accrued across the Top 5, with Maia making a stellar climb this week. However overall for June, it is Sonay that is well in the lead.  Elsewhere Nell appears out of nowhere and into the Top 800

In a sad day for Bob, as of 27th June 2022, we're now back at only 15 players in the top 500

Both Jack PJ and Stuart Parker have dropped out, not by a lot, but they were pretty much on the edge and a few points lost and that's it.....

Silver lining is that in the live rankings, Stu Parker comes back into the top 500

In terms of the top 500 v top 250 battle

The 20th player in live rankings is Anton, he is down at 588 after Wimbledon currently - so our 20th player is 17.6% outside the top 500

The 10th player in relation to the top 250 is Billy and he is at 317. So he is 26.8% outside the top 250.

I would say those are both quite chunky gaps to be honest and don't, personally, see them being closed in 2022 at least. With 5 players for Bob to close into the top 500 and 17.6% gap at the 20th place, and 2 players to close into the top 250 for Jaggy, with a more sizeable gap at the 10th spot, I would say both targets look equally far away, sadly.

One silver lining for Bob is the 3 mens ITF events on grass , indeed, the increased ITF events generally, which may give the players in the 500's much better opportunities to close that gap!

Rather than % live place differences I prefer to look at actual points. So Anton say is on 44 live points, 23 points ( less than an M25 title ) behind the live #500 on 67 points. Billy Harris is 53 points behind the live #250.

Certainly the grass M25s coming up could well help quite a few players significantly improve their rankings. May indeed be too much to ask for enough of the 'right' players to improve enough but I reckon things will be looking better for the top 500 target anyway.
