We now have 10 in the live top 327 with Paul and Aidan's efforts this week in their Italian Challenger

Both have moved onto 154 points as GB #9 and #10 with Paul live ranked 324 and Aidan live 327. And Paul has reached the QF ( vs Jay ) so can improve further.

I like this..... Just to put extra context, as of the week of 10 Jan 2022, we currently have six in the official, normal rankings:

Cam, Dan, Kyle, Liam, Andy and Jay

Just hovering on the outside, there's Jack and Ryan P

Aidan and Paul are within 100 places.

James Ward's points will finally drop off and move him outside the top 500, when the next rankings are issued

Men's WR for w/c 17 Jan 22

So points aplenty in the singles last week, with the knock-on effect of some notable rises in the rankings.  Andy jumps into the lead for net points, although Jack experiences the bigger ranking rise.  In fact the 5 biggest movers in ranking so far this year in singles are players in our Top10.

Changes in groups: Top200 up to 6 (+1, Jay).  All others remain unchanged.

In doubles, Neal's current "tournament title per week" strategy stretches his lead in terms on net points gained and gets him a grand total of 0 position gains in WR. He is hunting down Jamie though. Jack makes the biggest move in terms of WR gains, while Max and Elbert are beneficiaries of those around them falling.

Changes in groups Top100 down to 8 (-1, Luke), Top700 down to 24 (-1, Jonathan Binding). All other groups remain unchanged, with in the case of the Top600, this being a result of Billy dropping out and Jack climbing up.

Women's WR for w/c 17 Jan 22.

So not much changes this week for the women.  Biggest movement this week amongst in the singles is actually Heather's loss of points and associated drop down the rankings.  Actual net points gained and ranking gains remain in single figures for the month so far.  As a result it's another week of no change amongst the Top 500 or any other group.

Similarly in doubles, it is a pretty static week.  Heather still leads the month, but as pointed out elsewhere by Indiana she is defending alot of upcoming points, so things may look different by the end of the month. For the moment however, this week she moves back into the Top100, bringing the total in this group to......1.   No change in the number of GB women in the Top500 or any other group.

Stuart Parker is into the top 500 for the first time, at WR 499. Replaces James Ward ( although retired still in the rankings but dropped points ) so still 13 in the top 500.

Ali Gray is on the verge, at WR 501.

Men's WR for w/c 31 jan 22

So January is done, and in singles, Andy comes out top in terms of points gained, and with it he creeps ever closer to get back into the Top100.  In terms of ranking gains, its another old timer who comes out top.  As Dan Cox makes a run for the Top600 and beyond, James Ward's drop down begins in earnest. Based on their trajectory, Jan, Felix and Charles are on same collision course with him.

Despite this, the number within the Top500 remains at 13. But there is movement else thanks to those mentioned above. Top400 is now 10 (-1, James Ward), Top600  is 19 (+1, Charles Broom) and Top700 is 24 (+1, Dan Cox)

In doubles, Neal sees the month out as the top points gainer, closing the gap further on Jamie. In terms of ranking gains, its the players at the lower echelons that make the big moves this month.  The exception is Charles whose 132 gain gets him into the Top600.

In terms of the Top500, the total is now 17 (-1, Mark Whitehouse).  Other changes are Top400 now 14 (-1,Scott Clayton), Top600 now 24 (+1, Charles Broom) and Top700 now 25 (+1, Charles Broom).

Women's WR for w/c 31 Jan 22.

So January is done, and its fair to say Eliz Maloney had a good month.  In singles, Emma makes the biggest net gain in terms of points, but it's Eliz's net +30 points that results in the biggest jump up the rankings. Meanwhile, although she takes 2nd place in ranking gain, Amelia's is still some way off the Top1000, despite her jump of 255.

The number in the Top500 remains unchanged at 15, but there is movement elsewhere.  The Top400 is now 10 (-1, Tara), the Top600 is 17 (+1, Freya), and Top700 is 21 (+1, Eliz).

In doubles, Heather's early lead in points gain for Jan in the end completely disappears.  Instead it's Alicia and Olivia who tie for top gain, with +23 points.  Tara's +20 points means that she is the closest she has been to Heather and GB's #1 doubles player. In terms of ranking gains, the plaudits go to Nadia Rawson, who i believe is also the most recent GB woman to join the WRs. Fran's disappearance from the Doubles WRs is far more noticable than most because of her Top600 ranking previously.

As with singles, the number of GB players in the Top500 remains unchanged at 15.  The Top100 is back to 0 (-1, Heather), Top 600 is 17 (-1, Fran) and Top 700 is 18 (-1, Fran again).

And Ali Gray pushes through into the top 500, as Andy moves back into the top 100, several others get career highs incl Liam.

 14 now top 500.

The full roster - Stuart skating perilously close to dropping out again, Aidan having jumped above Paul, but a nice 14 now in the top 500, as Jon says, and with Jan Choinski right on the outside, at 513, and will clearly be back in very soon, with - thankfully - his injury (whatever?) now seemingly not a problem

13 Cameron Norrie
27 Dan Evans
95 Andy Murray
121 Liam Broady
132 Kyle Edmund
191 Jay Clarke
207 Jack Draper
256 Ryan Peniston
311 Aidan McHugh
317 Paul Jubb
438 Billy Harris
460 Anton Matusevich
495 Alastair Gray
500 Stuart Parker

Looking quite promising. Most of these players are still upwardly mobile.
