This week's world ranking's. first up the women for w/c 26 Apr.
While the graphs look a bit different (lots of clustering around the 150 mark in doubles), when grouped in (randomly selected) top "X" buckets, the numbers are spookily similar.
In the women's there is a bit more moving in the rankings, but not enough to affect the grouping numbers by much. Alicia (WR613) and Emily Appleton (WR 752) account for the change in numbers in the singles' groupings.
We seem to have a Top 500 thread in the womens, this in the entries and possibly one in the mens? Seems to me the entries and rankings page is a good place to keep a common thread is it worth moving them all together? Or does no one care (not sure I do really!)
The thing I posted in women's ranking was not a general top 500 thing.
This is the Top 500 place (as with men) in terms of focus on the actual top 500
The rankings is for all rankings and majors movers etc.
I just happened to do it as the top 500 today because it included all the main names (no major moves outside of the top 500) and just to have a list for future reference
WR for british women for the w/c 17 May. As others have said elsewhere, our women are going through a lean period in the singles at the moment. Of the 32 with rankings, only two managed to improvement their ranking this week, and one of them was Sam, who hasn't been active recently. In doubles, Tara has crept into the top 200 group.
WR for men for the w/c 17 May. No change in the numbers per group. Kyle being out of action is increasingly being felt in his double's ranking, while Liam's nice boost means he passes him.
WR for women w/c 24th May. In singles, EWS slowly losing much of the gains she made in March, while Emily Appleton has clambered herself up to WR747, boosting the T750 group to 23. In doubles Olivia is currently experiencing the most rapid loss of ranking.
WR foe men w/c 24th May. In singles, its pretty quiet. In doubles, a shout out to Jonathan Binding, whose extra ranking point has caused him to jump 16 WR places to 740 and into the T750 group.
WR for women for w/c 31 May. Another week of treading water.
(As a reminder the order of names in the key is based on their ranking at the start of the year and not a reflection of their current relative positions)
